Problem with new Compiler Novemer 2011

Sticky Wicket, an Apple iOS Developer that has Bees, Bees HD, and Buddha Balance on iTunes has discovered a problem with using the new compiler. Unfortunatly once you upgrade to the new compiler, Apple won't let you go back to the previous compiler. The symptom we saw was on 1G, 2G, and 3G with the exception of 3Gs devices shows the app scaling things and not behaving correctly. Some of our older devices worked, while one of our older devices didn't. It is important to also note that if an older device attempts to load iOS 5 the results will be that it won't install correctly since it isn't supported on the older device, and the version will show up still as 4.2.1 The main issue turns out to be that Apple is cutting support of armv6 devices when using Xcode 4.2

The Solution

The solution thanks to the following post helped us fix the issue:

Gavin Bowman from RetroDreamer says, "Adding -mno-thumb for other c flags on armv6 will work round the problem." Read more on this post for more information on fixing!
